scooby princess Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 (edited) As im sure you lot are aware by now i have a wonderful rescue dog called jess who is a border collie and as soft as feathers! She would not hurt a fly and loves attention. Well tonight whilst we had taken her swim some f***ing london cow with no idea on how to control her dog let alone how to keep a dog in view allowed her dog to run off and hey presto the 1st thing the f***ing dog did was to ATTACK jess! Jess luckily just continued to play and went after her ball in the water to which the dog followed but cause it could not swim ed had to pull it out the water as the owner was NOWHERE in sight! Repeatedly the dog went after jess and kept on nipping her legs and neck and the f***ing women just said that she was PROTECTING JESS CAUSE HER DOG DIDNT KNOW HOW TO PLAY WITH TOYS AND THOUGHT THE BALL WAS HURTING HER! FOR F*** SAKE! GET A LIFE YOU STUPID B****! Then she had the ordacidy to say that Ed and I knew nothing about dogs and we were bad owners and it was OUR fault that her dog bit jess and that it was also OUR fault that her dog did not come back when called. She also said WE should not keep dogs!!!! This has really angered me and Ed but we have PRAISED jess cause she did not retaliate until she had had enough of it and the it was on "leave me alone" and then she came back to me and Ed! If the cow is reading this just be warned..............YOU WILL BE GOING ON YOU TUBE AS I WAS VIDEO RECORDING OUR DOG AT THE TIME YOURS TOOK THE FIRST BITE AND I WILL BE PUTTING IT UP FOR ALL TOO SEE! Mel & Mark Please post a link for youtube ; ) Mel, i have never posted on you tube so not sure how to but i can get it on photobucket and then i will put a link up here - i could not believe it and had to restrain Ed from swearing at the bitch but i wish he had now!
scooby princess Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 that's just wrong!!!! your pooch did well though, sounds like a lovely rescue dog She is amazing and to think that just 2 years ago when we got her she was nervous and shy because of how she was treated! We know that she was tied to a washing machine all day when the owners went to work - i cant imagine how or what she must of felt as a puppy but i never want her to feel like that again. I treat her like the child me and ed can't have and i spoil her but she has had so much bad luck to the start of her life i just want to show her that some people really do love their dogs and that they are part of the family. Now here is the video footage........................Not very good but you can clearly see the dog came from nowhere and just went for her!
scooby princess Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 This is how friendly she is...............This is a picture of vix with their dog Obie and Jess. It was the 1st time that jess had really had contact with another dog and Obie was staying the night as well - they really got on and it was so nice.
edmondo Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Lesson learned today Boys and Girls is if you let your dog roam free and it attacks another its the fault of the responsible owners
Midnight21 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Glad Jess is ok you should have thrown the woman in the water and told her dog to fetch lol
scooby princess Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 Glad Jess is ok you should have thrown the woman in the water and told her dog to fetch lol We had to twice rescue her dog cause it couldnt swim! i feel for the dog, think its being kept as a guard dog - no toys, most dogs have at least 1 ball!
jd Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 sorry to here bthis jaqs, glad jess is ok. some owners have no idea.
Lady Vix Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 WELL DONE JESS....... When i think of how nervous she was to start with at having another dog in her own home, and quickly she accepted him, i am not surprised that she was as good as gold with this other aggresive dog. She has really come on in leaps and bounds.... Well done guys for getting her so well settled and calm, even in a circumstance which she most probably did not like. Dont worry about the spoiling her bit, she deserves to be spoilt.... We spoil Obi the same way....... Just look out for how many treats you dish out..... The reason i think that the other owner had the nerve to say it was your fault, was that she was worried that her dog may have injured Jess and you would charge her for any vet bills.... Well done for not retaliating to her accusations guys. Swimming in water eh???? I bet she needs another groom!!!!!! And OMG..... I cant believe my hair used to be so long

Really proud of her and she has ben told that when we go to vets tomorrow for last lot of jabs she can choose a BIG NEW TOY! (Well vets is in the pets at home store!)
tazman Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 (edited) Really feel for you We have a Staffie and cause of his breeds suposed reputation we don't let him off the lead at all but the number of other dogs that come and pester us and take no notice of their owners pathetic recalls (if they have one) when we're out on walks is unbeleivable Edited June 27, 2008 by Tazman
