do i change the bulbs to a bluey/whiter colour or go for the full hid kit on them too

Hi 20

Because of the design of the reflector in the fog lights, I would not advise putting Hid's in as you wouldn't increase your lite driving area. What would happen is that the light created by the Hid's would reflect back into your eye's off the fog. A bit like putting your headlights on in fog.

I would take the fogs off and replace them with drive lights with Hids, just as I'm about to do. Got the Hid's just got to find the time to install them.

I'm planning to just stick in a couple of H3 extreme white bulbs - only used the foglights twice in 3 years so can't see any point in spending all that money on a Hids fitment when the others are about a tenner

Personally I reckon they'll be 'bluer' than your hids, thats why I went with 12v/55w white, although haven't fitted them yet so can't compare - will let you know
