luke_clifton Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Today a very high speed ramp scratched my exhaust, luckily it was just the section near the diff. I cannot actully see the scrathes, but it's just annoying to know that the council will make a speed ramp that tall. Now my car is not lower than any other scooby (maybe even slightly higher), and you can take speed ramps at any mph normally without scrapping anything. I wasen't even driving fast over them, well under 10mph for sure. Really getting sick of the ridiculous fuel costs, & crappy roads this country has.

Really getting sick of the ridiculous fuel costs, & crappy roads this country has. havnt you worked it out yet, there making all speed ramps higher, so everyone will have to buy big 4+4s so they can get extra money on road tax & petrol, & as for the roads being a mess, dont come to ashford, the roads are a total mess full of pot holes, road works every where, nothing being done!!! ive been working in london all week & just outside the pub im working in, theres a speed ramp, & every day i hear lots of crunchs where brand new minis go over them really slow & still damage there front splitters, i feel sorry for the blind crossing over these roads, they must think there on the other side when there stuck on top of a speed ramp, thats if they get that far before they break there ankles down a pot hole, & as for prices there not going to get any cheaper, i paid £1-20 a ltr at tescos today, all i can suggest is buy as much as you can store at todays price, to either keep for your self or sell at a later date to make money http://money.uk.msn.com/investing/articles...umentid=8133723

luke_clifton Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 I've been paying £1.19.9 a litre for the last few weeks.... that extra 3.9p on a litre means my usual running, cost me a extra £15 to run last week . Thank you government. As for messing with the nur spec, I should march into the Maidstone council office & place my full exhaust on there desk demanding a repolish. If it had been my silencer, I would have been going there first thing. The thing gets polished about 3 times a week.

luke_clifton Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 Lets just say my metal polish consumption is greater than fuel consumption lol.

luke_clifton Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 Just have to keep polishing it regular, mine's probably that clean due to the fact it's about 3-4months old.
