swifty1981 Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 i started doing them wednesday after work. had to do a lot of rubbing down to get the scratches out and used a drill to do the bits where the wheels where curbed. the painting part is easy. iv also got glitter in the paint that you can just about see in the pic
gary may Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 when you paint wheels, how many coats of paint do you put on???also what about the clear coat?? also do you just do the face or the whole wheel??? many thanks
swifty1981 Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 yes mate just done the face. i rubbed them down first this has to be done well or the plaint will flake off. then i used primer on top of that i used the glod making sure every thing is covered i gave it a couple of coats. then left it to dry for about 20 min then put on the clear. i had to do lots of coats of clear because of the glitter i chucked over it, you should only need a couple

Scooby Hoo? Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Swifty Is your daughter married yet? Looks like she would be the right girl for my grandson. She could look after the wheels and he'd look after the engine. What sort of dowry are you offering (one used Subaru with gold wheels, house in Spain) She would have to be prepared to live in America. You love the glitter should change your name to Gary
