stinger Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 He arrived in a blaze of glory in his STi and then disappeared off the radar! I would like to firstly offer my sincerest apologies to SP, i got your PM about the Castle Combe event but i was juggling things like buggery to try and get there and i wasnt right sure i could make it right up until the Friday night when it became a non-goer. I didnt reply cos it was too late by then and ive been feeling guilty ever since. I can imagine what it takes to get things organised and a tit who wont commit (what a rhyme!) is a royal pain. As an explanation and by way of an apology here is what is going on in my life... I work as a Manager for agency workers and this means usually my 'phone starts most mornings about 6am and if my last one is 9pm its a good day. My Father is in hospital, he has been since last October having had his leg removed through an MRSA infection from a previous hospital visit and then having had C-Diff and various other infections. My mother has had 2 strokes in the last year. So i had to sell my house (oh well the upside is the disposable cash for the car) and move back home (if its still home after not living there for 25 years plus!) to make sure my 80 year old mother doesnt get into too much mischief and then take her to the hospital every night to visit dad. The Castle Combe event occurred in the midst of hospitals visits and a new GF demanding a trip to Weymouth and im afraid the exchange of intimacy on the south coast won! So the upshot is, if every day had 30 hours things might be a bit more predictable. I would really appreciate it if you wouldnt write me off and my best endeavours will be made to attend every event i feasibly can. Regards and thanks for reading this drivel.
Bailey73 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Hi Stinger Just a quickie from me... Family always come first mate and nobody will ever knock you or write you off for putting them first.
scooby princess Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Hi StingerJust a quickie from me... Family always come first mate and nobody will ever knock you or write you off for putting them first. Completely agree with the deputy here mate - I write no one off - Everyone is welcome whenever they can attend, it does not matter if its a missed show there is plenty more - familys are THE MOST IMPORTANT THING and will always come 1st. You do not need to offer any kind of apology or explanation. We will see you soon and wish your Mother and Father well.
kevlorn Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 you can't do them all mate.......as everyone has said, family will always come first...
Sam B Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Hubby has already responded, but all above are right, family first......while our life is not as "full" as yours right now there are times either one or both of us doesn't make it to a show or meet.....and yet the welcome is always warm
glam Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 /\ /\ What they said, will be nice to meet you in the future & hope your folks are on the mend now
