I mean have you phoned them since you found out they won't fit, they should just replace them for you

Not yet, no, apparently Wednesday if not a good day to phone David (his out mapping all day). I might give them a try tomorrow. Not sure if there take them back though as i've had them for a few weeks now.

Makes no difference as they are not "fit for the purpose"

Just be calm & polite when you phone them and you shouldn't have any problems :rotfl:

Thanks, i will do. I edited my post because i wrote that just after attempting to fit them and was not in the best moods. I'm just so dissapointed because i was assured the first time i phoned up for a return, that they would 100% fit.

And it's got about a 2mm(width) crack running from bottom-top. Does anyone have any temporary fixes for this

Hi mate wrap up the area where its cracked in electrical insulation tape, that normally does the trick :rotfl:

I'll give it a try, i sprayed the offending coil with wd40, the engine became nice and quite smooth.
Do not spray to much over the broken coil, as it will catch on fire, and possibly loss of an eye brow!!!!! :rotfl: Edited by Deano 666

I've not even tried to phone the company today... as i can't find the invoice. So annoying, because I never lose any paperwork. I have a file for all my subaru stuff, Still got invoices for buying a sump washer.

I've spent all this morning looking for it, and it's nowhere . It's got there name written on the box & there test date on the coils, but without a invoice i'm screwed. Might put them up for sell on ebay, see if i can get most of my money back there.

got a set of ebay for 75 quid u wont get ur muney back by selling them, on there i made same mistake as u i bought the two bolt ones but needed the single ones then i had to resell for 50 quid best offer i got

I'd never sell for £70, there brand new & tested. These are the single bolt type. I need the 2 bolt type (see how many people know there subaru's  ) These cost me £230 on the 16th, so anyone who offers me £70 for these, are going to get a kick up the a***.

I'll give the company a phone tomorrow, to see if they can still refund it. Though i doubt it.

Noise is back, this time worse than ever. Car was driving fine until about 5 mins into driving, when knocking returned, only this time, it woulden't stop until I finally managed to get it home :P . Really does sound like the engine is eating itself.

I swear if it doesen't make it until the show, then thats my time up with this car.

Anyone know locally where i can get some half decent oil (fully or semi synthetic) + do Subaru keep filters in stock? If i can scramble the parts together, i'm going to do a emergency oil change tomorrow to find out for certain.
