bogie Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 (edited) I've had 6 scoobs and numerous cars before and never kerbed a wheel. Well guess what I done yesterday as I pulled up outside my work! SCRAPE! i was scared to look, it's taken the paint off about 1/4 of the edge and taken a small (6mm sq) chunck of rubber. I was only doing about 5mph but it was the old grey razor edge kerbs. The alloy isn't damaged that much mainly paint, I'm gonna try a manual repair, worst case I'll need to buy another wheel. Might be worth getting the rubber checked though (as we all know how dangerous a dodgy rubber can be ) There were reasons why I had to pull up outside rather than park, but I'm more pi**ed at myself for being such a dumbass. Well at least it can be fixed / replaced, not the end of the world. Edited April 12, 2008 by bogie
colzo Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Bummer mate, I hate doing things like that. I'm one of these people that would end up buying a new wheel as a repair would never please me.

Yep, I know that's what I'll end up doing as it will always annoy me and won't ever look right, no matter how good I get the repair
sczscoob Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 I know what you mean, it's bloody annoying but i'll blame the wife so i don't get so angry with myself!!! Makes me feel better
