96-98 Engine...?

well seein as i have more or less scuppered my wrx, was curious as to if a 96-98 engine for a classic would fit into my 93?

is there much difference between the two other than the 96-98 being slightly higher powered?

Hey chap, AFAIK the engines are much the same apart from a few differences, so should fit across ALL models...

What you COULD do... is got for a better engine still, say for example, a 2.3 or 2.5...

the others can help you on that better than I can, but I would have thought that AWD or Hypertech, could sort that out for you, but then I don't know where you are, or who the best garage for you is...

i'm Arbroath dude, and to be honest its a limited budget im on, so a 2.3 or 2.5, as desireable as that would be, is probably out of the question.

I might just strip my engine and rebore, throw some forged in, depending on how that hits the wallet, least that way the car be worth mroe in the long run

Well then mate, AWD Perth would be your best bet then... I'm sure that Grant will be able to help you out there then mate! just Give him a call and i think that he should be able to tell you your options and what's best for you. B)
