Recommended Posts

ive fitted a turbosmart bov to my wrx. a supersonic.

ive found that on full boost it wooooooooshes.. great!, and under that it flutters as such, but also when letting off the accelerator at low boost its quite jumpy and bouncy, not smooth.. i can adjust the valve hard and soft.

any ideas?

Hi Dave  on top of the dump valve should be a adjuster screw thing, if you turn that screw clockwise it hardens up the spring and the car should run better, i had to do that to the dump valve on my classic wrx and its absolutely fine now, good luck. B)

Ive got mine on the hardest setting and i find it runs better like that 'cos it boosts up alot better and also it doesnt let all the boost out and only the nessacery that needs to come out rather than if its too soft it will let most of the charge out and your turbo will have to build the boost up again, it all depends on how much boost your car is running but sometimes if you do them too tight you wont hear the dump valve noise thats when you've gone too far. B)
