2087 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Hey folks, I am considering buying a replacement speed sensor off Ebay and fitting. A last ditched attempt to fix my code 33 before taking it to a garage. Just was curious as to how hard it is? I think i have found the right sensor, it connects to the gearbox with an orange rubber seal over it then leads up toward the dash board with a black block somewhere in the middle? If this is it then i cant see any problems replacing it myself. If i am wrong though, let me know, and if anyone cound post an actual picture of it (from a camera or phone) would be great. Muchly appreciated Gary
RACERX Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 hi m8 its the sensor on the left of gearbox looking at it from engine best to change from underneath and remove downpipe ffor more room its a 16mm spanner if you can get a short enough spanner then no need to remove downpipe you have to watch dont force it as they are plastic

Yeah was thinking about moving the downpipe for more room, unless i can get the missus to do it for me, smaller arms and hands lol. I am hoping ill just need to take it out and give it a wee clean and replace. When i park the car on certain levels, the problem seems to dissapear. so here is hoping! failing that itll be a trip to fleabay for a breaker one i think. cheers muchly
