Also for your valued help with the questions and clues. No problem Hugh, it was an enjoyable afternoon and good to be involved especially as I can't be there on the day. I still think that we should have left in your original instruction to 'turn left' when you clearly meant 'turn right' - the thought of participants heading towards each other down that country lane . . . . . and you at the end of the rally thinking "hmmmm, they should have been here by now" Still, despite that minor hiccup, I think you've chosen a good route and it should provide a great , if perhaps testing, day out from a driving and navigating viewpoint - after all its meant to be a fun day rather than a race and I'm sad I can't make it - especially as I now know the route

Short of selling the route plan. . . . .hmmm, now there's an idea . . . .and without giving anything away, you'll need a full tank, decent map of the area, compass (since you'll not have the time or patience to try and get round using satnav) , emergency rations just in case you do get lost (or should I say for when you get lost) and spare bottles to pee in - not many toilets en route Oh yes, a co-driver would be really really useful - if there's anyone travelling 3-up, kidnap'em Ian! One final comment and thats Hugh has spent a lot of time over this, especially that route and I hope everyone enjoys themselves and appreciates it is only a fun day out and not some rally stage, although when you get out there, you might have second thoughts. Enjoy. Edited August 26, 2008 by BASER999

Scooby Hoo? Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Well it's nearly time so just a nudge to remind you to bring a pen and pencils for the children Map if you have one Co-driver if you can get one But most of all good spirit Remember it's not a race, it doesn't matter if it takes you 1.5 hours or 3 hours FUN is the order of the Day. (PS it took me 55 minutes with a 30 minute break at the pub )
