Newage Engine 'choking' At 5k Revs

just back from the cinema and my newage wrx seems to be chocking/stalling at 5k. it powers through the revs up this point when it starts to 'choke' and doesnt want to go any further through the revs. this happens in every gear. drives sweet other than that.

it has all the mods req for Andy F first stage if this helps

this happen to anyone else? common fault? any ideas?

Possibly fuel related but also check the small pipe that goes to the fuel pressure reg, this pipe is not clipped on and has been known to slip off causing lean running.

Try emptying that tank of fuel then fill up somewhere else. Then disconnect the battery for 15 mins to erase any incorrect ECU learning that may have taken place.

Best get the CEL checked out first though, that should point you in the right direction.

^^^^ where would this pipe be located as they all look the same to me lol. dissconnected the battery today but did nothing to remove the cel light.

thought it might have something to do with fueling due to the characteristics of the problem.
