Scooby Hoo? Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) Can anyone tell me if it is worth buying a panel filter and would it make a differents to the standard one.and which one to buy (green filter, hks, sti, etc) thanks. The standard filter is good for 350+bhp The Litchfield Type 25 is running 450 bhp and still uses the standard air box, so why spend your money, unless you want a reusable filter. leebo77 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Hugh - think the question is regarding panel filters (using existing airbox but upgrading the filter to a high-flow one) and not induction kits (replacing existing airbox). To answer the question - well worth it. I ran a green for a couple of years on my WRX and throttle response was noticibly improved.

kaan_ors Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Sounds interesting. Where can I get one, how much does it cost and how hard is it to fit?
leebo77 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Got mine from Scoobyparts - about 30 quid iirc. Very easy to fit - just pop the clips on the air box, pull the old one out and whack the new one in. Easy peasy
kaan_ors Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Nice one guys, sounds good. It could be one of those cheap performance improvements I was looking for.
