baser999 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Apart from the screws and the fact that the bs number was missing, just how 'non-legal' is your plate
kaan_ors Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Now we must remember that this is a very serious crime, forget the muggings, killings rapes etc just make sure your number plate screws are correct On a serious note if your car were to be stolen and you didn't have the index in the correct format then it wouldn't get picked up by the ANPR cameras that are becoming common place. These cameras will pick up any vehicle that has been reported lost or stolen and can help your car to be recovered.

matthew_buckland Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Silly question time, whats the law regarding the smaller import rear number plates, the british ones dont fit, so therefore the lettering is smaller on import ones? just a query.

luke_clifton Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I've got a personal plate, but i've been good and have standard plates with bs numbers on and correct gaps .

Although just to be awkward i dont have fittings for a front plate either, so i have a stick on one which doesnt have a bs standard mark althouigh they are import regulation sized and uk type lettering, The Police didn't seem that bothered by it when we were in Norwich with Essex anpr scoob, but if it deemed illegal then obviously i'll change it cos i'm a good girl.....
Nudge Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 but if it deemed illegal then obviously i'll change it cos i'm a good girl..... that seems to be questionable.......
matthew_buckland Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Charming, if i was a sensitive soul then i may of been offended (not)
eureka Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Apart from the screws and the fact that the bs number was missing, just how 'non-legal' is your plate i do have a bs number on my plate and the spaces and letters are all legal but the screw caps are impeding onto the letters
