scooby princess Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Due to amount of gas bagging we do on the chat thread (over 700 pages!) it has been requested that a chat thread 3 be started and chat thread 2 closed as if we need to reboot the site it would take longer due to the massive size of the file involved with this thread! We are not the only area to have some pruning done and it is purely site maintinance - Andi has offered to include the last 3 pages so we dont lose train of chat etc I just i would let you know as i have said this would be a good idea so any probs take it up with me! pmsl

You now have a new chat thread with the most recent 3 pages from the previous one so you can pick up where you left off. For technical reasons it isn't good to have a 700+ page forum topic. I'll probably do this every six months or so or when I think the chat topic is getting too big for the database, but will always create you a new topic and copy the most recent stuff over to it. Note that your post count isn't affected by this - it's just a housekeeping exercise Cheers Andy
