probably a really stupid question but how do you get a pic in your avatar? tried to put one in but it was too big? how would i size it accordingly? is there a program or something similar

photobucket can reduce pics to the avater size

Or perhaps use photoshop, elements, lightroom, paintshop pro, paint, I'm sure even windows might do it...
