This Idiot over took a pal of mine on the prom, then swerved across her path hitting her drivers wing, she had her 5year old daughter in the car with her who was scared stiff. He drove on without stopping, but had to stop at the lights at the bridge of don end of the beach, She got out & asked why he swerved & hit her car with which he told her to **** off, then drove off when the lights changed.

thefastone Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 What a boaby... I think If she has not heard anything by now then she should get back onto them, if he did some damage to her car, they could have done some forensic tests to match paint... but I suppose now... your waaaay to late for that... and being that its illeagal to leave the scene of an accident theres more to answer than just bad driving... I'd keep an eye out if I were home... seems that we are getting more than our fair share of numptys up here of late... Oh, and one last thing, as much as I REALLY HATE this, theres a possibility that they might just do nothing about it at all... as what they might say is oh but its your word against his, if you accuse him he might make an sccusation agains you... then you could end up being charged... thats their way of side stepping having to do anything about it... But deffo think the guy needs to lear some "manners"...

thefastone Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Excelent, so another tinker on the go in a scoob... Its just getting worse all the time in Aberdeen...
boris b Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Jeeze that's a nightmare.... It's not just in the Aberdeen area tho
thefastone Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Oh I know that its not isolated... but you know, its bad when you notice how much worse it gets locally in a fairly small space of time... I just hope that with Santa cruise coming up that we can get a bit of good publicity for a change...

I don't think it's restricted to scoobs though, think it's more in general that there seems to be worse driving standards on the road. Heard about someone rammed off the road by a white transit while they were on their recumbent bike. Apparently the van pulled alongside and then slammed into the side of it and never stopped. Broke the guys shoulder or something I think. He was passed by a number of cars shortly afterwards and no-one stopped to help either, despite him trying to wave them down.
thefastone Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 thats something, I remember about a year or so ago, being tailgated by a transit, big panel van, and it turned into a bit of road rage thing... all because I wouldn't tailgate the line of cars in front... and i did everything the right way too, but he cut me up a few times on the duel carridge way (started on a single carridge) and was throwing stuff out the window at me, I was pretty worried about it... finally got past him, flicked the bird and left, was not a pleasant expreience... Just dont get that kind of mentality.... :?
iainc Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Just dont get that kind of mentality.... :? Yeah, had a few things like that (just not to the point of throwing things). Had a guy shaking his fist at me for daring to overtake him (safely, plenty of room to move into), overtook the van he'd been sitting behind at 50mph for ages on the next straight, it turned off and the guy sped up thru' a 30mph to be back on my bumper at a junction and he was tooting his horn and waving his fist again. Just remembered the "best" one. Was in Inverurie heading into town and was at that junction near the curry house and the traffic lights. Anyway this car was sitting back from the junction a bit with the indicator on and looked parked, I checked the road and although there was a car coming there was more than enough room to pull out so I did, passed the "parked" car and pulled out. Next thing I know the "parked" car sounds the horn and comes racing out behind me (causing the other car to brake now and toot at him too) and he's racing right up behind me and swerving back and fore trying to pass me and all but climbing into my boot he was so enraged. I guess he was sitting waiting to pull out, although he'd been completely stationary for *ages* as I approached and the road was perfectly clear to pull out. I think he liked it even less when I started laughing at him, esp when we got onto the dual carrigeway
