chris_c201 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Guys, Got my first ever venture on track this Sunday, small sprint event with about 20 cars from the Scottish Elises club... Any tips for the prep... planning to check all fluids and tyre pressures, thats about it really.... Any tips for the driving? Its one car at a time on quite a tight little circuit so no pressure from people waiting to overtake or anything.... Cheers. Chris

Chris dont try to break records and be a hero on your first lap wait till the second one instead seriously though just drive at your own pace and dont over do it , wait till you get a few laps in build your speed and confidence try and find a happy medium speed for your self and car, then enjoy your day
col666 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Heres a tip...watch out for the telegraph poles!! theres tons of them all round the circuit for some weird reason. I've seen the sprint set up before and its pretty tight so you should'nt be going fast enough to slide that far off track if it all goes wrong! Have fun!
paul555sti Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Have a look over on the mlr there are some videos of some of the sprints that they have held, it will give you an idea of what it's like.
chris_c201 Posted October 19, 2007 Author Posted October 19, 2007 Cheers guys, don't think i'll be likely to go to fast although we shall see what happens when the adrenaline kicks in!! I've watched some of the vids and it looks quite tight and technical so don't imagine silly speeds! Apparently there is one straight that you can get some pace on..... I'll report back (hopefully, lol)
