20withascooby Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 ive got a wrx import but just bought a sti v6 spoiler only two of the holes at the bottom line up with exsiting holes in boot.is this enuf to hold it on. few people on scooby net have suggested drill more holes or two bolts and sum tiger seal?? what do you guys think of how have you fitted yours many thanx
dazzlers82 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 mine is held down with 2 bolts either side an seems fine to me
20withascooby Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 mine wud be held down with only one bolt either side thats y i was goin to put sum tiger seal on it aswell also theb olts from my wrx one dnt fit in the bottom off the v6 one do i jsut go buy sum self tapping bolts wanna get it all fitted tmoz with my new wheels
dazzlers82 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 one bolt is def not enough an i personally dont like usin sealant as pain to get off later i would drill more holes an tap threads in spoiler providing the spoiler is thick enough to do so an fit new bolts an just seal around holes so do not leak water
20withascooby Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 there will be two bolts but only one side.once the psoiler is on it wnt be coming off for anything lol so myt use sealant and the bolt either end dnt wanna start drilling my boot
dazzlers82 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 i have fitted spoilers with just sticker flex before an they never came off so prob be ok but as already said i would bolt on due to removing later on
turismo Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 i drilled extra holes and used sealant. better to be safe than sorry m8.
