luke_clifton Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Hi, yestarday i received a letter from my old bank (natwest, who i've not banked with for over a year) stateing that there going to be taking me to court for unpaid bank charges, well it turns out they've been fining me without telling me, and i never bothered opening there statements as i thought the account was stagnent . My question, do you think i have a case against these? is it too late?... I'd say over the years i've banked with them, if i were to get back all charges due to there fault, it would in the thousands. I really am totally 100% clueless when it comes to this kind of thing, so i have no idea where to even start. Thank You.

Yes it might still be possible for you to make a claim, however if the account has been closed, by you, it may not be. A test case is being heard in the Courts as we speak and until a ruleing has been made none of the Banks are making any refunds. Try looking at www.unfair-bank-charges.com Good Luck

Jamessti Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I've claim back 6 years worth of banks charges, back from Barclays. Found it very easy to do, although, I have to drag them from though the small claims court. If you want I'll pm you with where you need to go.
