on 2 occasions after being driven hard (in competition) i have had engine oil blow out through the turbo. there is patches of oil coming through the dump valve and the boost solenoid. The car blew blue smoke after starting but it went away after running the car.

THe first time i assumed the turbo seals and took the turbo off and got it checked, nothing wrong with turbo. Cleaned out all the pipes and intercooler (which was coated with oil) been running the car no probs no blue smoke.

On the track yesterday after a couple of hard runs blue smoke again and oil through the solenoid and dump valve.

any ideas? is this potentially a breather problem or could it be as simple as overfilled oil (although it looks ok).

engine is running fine, no noises, checked oil not water in it and no oil in water. no loss of performance.

any pointers would be gratefully received

cheers za

As mentioned in the past, check if there is a restrictor in the oil feed line to the turbo, either a restrictor within the core of the turbo itself, or in the fitting to the core of the turbo.
