Telephone troubles

Hi

I had my phone line installed on Friday, but MT can't connect my barn office for a week or so. I bought a 25m telephone extension lead from B&Q for the house to the office, but although voice works fine, I can't get an ADSL sync. The lead is some ultra thin stuff - it was all they had in that length.

Does anyone know where I can get a 25m telephone extension lead in regular good quality cable please? It needs to run outdoors, but only has to last for a week or two.

you need CAT5e should be fine outdors if its only tempoary but its not strong so be a good idea to keep it off the floor because if someone stands on it could cause damage to the cores. just goto an electrical whoesalers and ask for it then cut off the connectors at each end of the cable you have but leave length on them so you can joint the cores and jus match the colours.

Just match what colours?

I don't have the tools to fit the ends on & also don't know what I'm doing! Any suggestions for an electrical place that will do the ends for me please?
