baser999 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 For whatever reason my car has always had 2 different sets of locking wheel nuts per wheel. Fine from a security aspect, but they need two different sizes of socket to get them off which is tiresome and I'm dreading ever having to remove a wheel at night in the dark ! Looking at changing them now and McGard Ultras got a very good review in Autoexpress recently coming out top of half a dozen sets they tested. Anyone here got them fitted? They retail at £34:99 through Exclusivetuning unless there's anyone else that'll do them with the SIDC discount.
eureka Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 i too have them cant remember the price though i got them with the wheel package i brought
DEAS81 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Demon Tweeks sell them aswell but they are the same price so I doubt you'll get them much cheaper. Ford use them as standard equipment, can recommend them as they'll take a lot of abuse before they'll let you get the wheels off, that comes from experience, don't lose the locking key! Im sure I've got a set at work, but Im not sure if they'll fit Subaru wheels. I'll check tomorrow and let you know. Deas
DEAS81 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday. The set I've got will fit the threads but don't fit my WRX wheels. Don't know if yours are different.
baser999 Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Thanks Deas but think I may as well order myself a set then at least they'll be the right ones.
Dalthegooner Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I got mine from Halfords Barry. Think they were £30 if I remember correctly.
