Get rid of the sponge first and get a lambswool wash mitt [Y]

Ok, the sponge is usually covered in dog hair anyway as it's a general purpose sponge in our household!

Found a cloth today that is softer than anything else I have ever felt (apart from my other half that is!!) Won't be much good for washing the car but it would be good for applying/buffing polishes/waxes etc. It's new on the market apparently. Spontex "dust wonder" £1.99 from Tesco Only problem is that it is pink!!!

Might be ok for final buffing only.  I wouldn't use it if there's the chance that there may be some debris on the paint.  It could just pick it up and scratch it around....
