C J K Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 1st time on track in about 6 years so whatever the way the 2.5 hours of tuition was set up I was going to enjoy it. It was a car and bike session about a dozen of each.40 minutes or so in the class room, then we were split into 4 groups each with an instructor.Quick coupla laps all in the one car with instructor, then follow thy leader(instructor) for about 20 dull laps, dont profess to being a knockhill expert but b'jeezus this bit was pretty mince after about 5 laps, obviously for total novices which I suppose these gift voucher sessions are set up for?? After this it was a half hour of free track time, bikes first, then us after a couple of laps in the old beastie it started missing at about 4800/5000 revs ....coil pack sprang to mind?????,just a stutter then was ok towards the red line. Kinda tried to keep it under 5k for the remaining 20 laps or so . Recently changed back to standard air box with TSL panel filter,do you reckon disturbing the Maf could have damaged it thus causing the hesitation problem, driving home it wouldn't do it[:^)]..only happening on track, maybe the extreme track temps were affecting summit. All thing considered it was a good way to get back on the track after a long absence...and the auld banger more or less survived[H] Colin
