no its got a tiny sports cat, but this is the thing i cant understand, if it has got somthing to do with the exhaust why has it taken 2 weeks for the light to come on.

p.s  it is a turbo back

when i had my induction kit fitted it took 3 weeks for the light to come on subaru turned it off but came back on a few days later a remap sorted mine

yes it was, now im worried how you know that lol

Think i remember you asking about it [:)], doesn't the downpipe have the cat right at the back of the pipe in the straight section and after the main sensor, if so you will need a CEL fix which would cure it

Maybe it would be best to get the warning light checked out first just to make sure it is the exhaust as it might be something else

oooo your good lol.

yeah the cat is in the strait bit, what is a cel fix then.

i think i will pop down to waldon way and see what they think it is.

thanks for your help mate mate[Y]

CEL fix is a resistor or 2 and some wiring that wires upto the ECU and fools the ECU into thinking there is still a cat in the system, it costs about £15, had mine done at Xtremes when they fitted my decat downpipe

ok i went to see the guys at waldonway this afternoon, they said that the front and back o2 censors are showing faults so they are gonna look further in to it next week, then they delivered another two blows, the first was that the bellmouth on to the turbo is too close to the steering linkage and is in danger of seasing up, the second thing was because the censors arent working properly the engine could be running lean and could detonate[:'(]

does anyone think that heat wrapping the downpipe could solve the problem with the steering linkage?

and are there any tell tale signs of the car running rich or lean so that i can stop shitting myself whenever i drive it[:'(]

any help would be very welcome

I'm an idiot so cannot help with the technical Q's. But I do suggest that you keep it off boost and drive it easy if you have to until you know the state of the fuel mixture.
