For 7.5k you would be able to scoop up a widetrack if you want one. I have a v9 widetrack and really struggle to find upgrade parts for suspension etc in the uk for the right pennies. Ie non widetrack maybe better if you want to mod mod mod. Floz you are right the JDM is stronger with a stronger semi block and hardened cam shaft. And the lovely twinscroll. Ben

Hi mate. I drive a hawkeye sti widetrack and wouldnt get anything else but for the 5k you have a blob or bug eye sti is more possible and you will have some choice to make sure your not buying the cheapest for sale and getting a dog riddled with problems. If you do go for a hawkeye please bare in mind they do have problems with excessive wear on the rear suspension conponents and the ej25 block does have a problem with piston slap if not treated well. Hope this is helpful.
