That's me insured my Evo 5 again for next year, I had thought about taking it off the road and using it exclusively for the track as it was a bit pricey for the use it was getting but thought I would try some quotes. Last year I was with Keith Michaels at more than £900 This year nothing has changed apart from an extra years no claims of course, making it 7 now. I've had quotes from A Plan, Green light, Sky, Adrian flux and Paceward. All these quotes ranged from £440 - about £520. I went with Paceward in the end, the reasons being that Dan was very helpful on the phone, he matched the best quote and I have the option of being able to buy track cover if I decide I want it. I suppose it is my own fault falling for the patter they fed me on the phone last year but as I had used them when I was younger with my heavily modded Subaru I trusted them when they told me on the phone that they were shocked at how cheap £900 was for me on that car Its plain to see though that KEITH MICHAELS are nothing but thieves when all the other companies I tried were so close to each other and less than half their price. J

I tried my full face bike helmet and my moto X one on track and I was cooking. I bought an OMP Star open face one off ebay for less than £60 and found it far more comfortable. NOT Snell, FIA or BSI approved though. J

Its been a while since Iv'e been on here but I used to have a nice Subaru a few years ago and the user name WHITEUK. I have a GTR just now as my main car but have a Clio for a track toy and a Shogun to tow it. Iv'e done a couple of track days in my Clio, the track Scotland one a couple of weeks back and I was at Khill last Monday and I'm hooked . The Clio's a lot of fun but I can see a spec C etc. on the horizon so I thought i would join again to keep an eye out for one. Iv'e booked the SIDC track day in September so I cant wait, should be a good one. J
