cheers dipsy,, as above i give 2500... told the man about problem he offered to give me 1k back to help towards cost found a box 6 speed only thing is its not dccd so the dccd wont work in the car, am not really bothered the dccd is a load of b******s waiting to go wrong why would u want to shift the power around am not 17 wanting to do rings in the car park.. so 1700 fitted.. cant find a box anywre mate either i could get my box thats coming out repaired and sell on as they are worth a few quid as the rally cars use them so just thinking at the min about what to doo..

bit far away am in the north east of england,, do they rebuild your old box...thay hard to find with the dccd

centre diff has gone i have 05 blob sti .. any ideas were i can get the full thing will i need the gearbox and diff or is it the complete thing as one ??

yes clunks on both settings, been to lcal mechanic he says its the front diff,, so took it to another garage they think its wheel bearing so now i have a sweat on thinking its the diff till thursday when subaru are going to have a look, if its the diff it will be getting garaged as i cant afford to put it right again,, what signs would you get if it were the front diff and how unlikely do you think it is..

if it were anything major baz would the power not be there just was worried if it was out major?? 05 sti blob it is fella its defo coming from the front though the clunk

all the time when rolling up to junctions clunk clunk clunk at around 2 mph or really slow. sometimes on full lock either way although usually on right hand turns.

car clunks at very slow speeds like 2 mph, and also turning, i no a lot on here say its what they doo with the dccd, is there any cure i.e new drive shafts new bearings ???? as ino a lad has a 05 sti blob same as me and his is fine.. any help would be greatful..

its defo coming from passanger side.. been to drag strip today in york, power is fine no problems just the whine noise from that side,,?? could it be a drive shaft?? its as soon as i pull off through gears and back down

its mainly when driving its defo not engine noise sounds from wheels just got car, and noticed cheap tyre on back, sounds more like a hum noise when driving from start up too speed mate any ideas sure the diff oils have been done..

just got my sti am getting to the point were i der not drive it.. today i have noticed a wining (drone) noise when i drive as if its electric, its clunking on some manouvers i doo and just noises here and there, the gear box is fine and the power is perfect straight line no problems... but now it seems am waiting for something to go bang. should they be noisy like this. just sick of the motor i always wanted!! its a MY05 blob sti with dccd

so shouldnt have no problems fitting that mate of the wrx to my sti??.. the black one i broke is 100 from subaru
