d19yda Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Was thinking about a set of 18s and droppin the ride height. its a turbo wagon? whats the most i can drop it without it rubbing? how will it affect the handling ? What tyre size is recommended? Davie
sandy_gray Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I managed to drop my wagon 40mm on 19s without any rubbing but i hated the way the car drove after fitting them that was on 35 profile tyres so there is plenty of room
scientific steve Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 dougster's yer man to speak to he had the 18" wheels i now have on his wagon, it was also lowered quite a bit with no problems as far as i can remember
stevie 4 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 i have 18s on my classic i cant remeber if its lowered or not i think it is. i have no problems with rubbing exept from when im going round a corner a bit fast or if there is two people in the back
derek_wright Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 u need to watch the offset as most wheel manufacturers list it as a 45 yet subaru list as 55 and prodrive 52 Ive got a 99 wagon on 18 rubs like a bitch everywhere even with 215/35 tyres fitted car is not lowered .had same problem with my last wagon
paul_massie Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 i have 18's on my wagon lowered 35 i think no rubbage at all with 215/35/18 handlin just amazing...... big difference if u put strut braces on too front and rear top
