nicholas_frame Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Watching the review of GB3000 on Channel 4 and still no sign of the man? Is Chris camera shy or just not fast enough to get recognised? Cummon Gumball give us a wave!
RS Grant Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Hahaha, I havent seen the 403/345 STi8 either... yet!! Cheers, Grant
nicholas_frame Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Glad I'm not the only one who watches late night telly and hooks up to interweb scoobie style! Is this something to be proud of?
RS Grant Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 LOL!! Not so sure we should be proud of it mate... but if we keep quiet then maybe people wont notice the topic!! Cheers, Grant
nicholas_frame Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 I won't tell if you don't. Mum's the word mate. Off to blanket bay now! Ciao
Gumball Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 To be honest when the entry fee was £10k for 2 people ie £5k a head.......this was going to be done Now that the entry fee is £40k, ie £20k each................ i think i should change my name to "GLASGOW-EDINBURGH3000"
fai17 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Saw it last night and was quite good. But £40K is a bit steep.Saw a few scoobs tho.
RS Grant Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Yea, there was a WR Blue(ish) STi8 with Orange Speedline Turini's and 400bhp.... that quoted a Top Speed of 180mph, surely that much be Wheel HP rather than Flywheel HP, although they probably keep it flat stick for about 40 mins at a time so given a long bit of road.... Cheers, Grant

Gumball Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 i never tried to get top speed on the sti since it had its power conversion. never had the toyos on and the dunlops were rated to 149mph. need to get back to the track and see if i can beat the 165mph then fuel cut. Im sure 170+ is reachable
