lock stock Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Don't know if this has been done before because I'm a new member. My Scooby history goes back 5 years now, first purchase was a 2001 GX Sport bugeye in white, one year later I purchased a mica blue Sport Special, Town & County tarted up a standard bug eye and sold it for the same price, mods were morrete twin head light conversion, clear lenses, set of gold WRX alloys and I fitted high level rear spoiler and stanless system.April 2004 purchased the wagon that I have now, some mods ninja system and bailey dump valve. Pictures to follow when I get back from my rotation In Africa.
RS Grant Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I've just had the 2 Imprezas... Started with a MY99 when I was 20, sold it after 8 months then returned to a MY98 about 6 months later!! I'll put up pics when I get home in a week or so. I will buy another one when I return from Australia next year. Cheers, Grant

RS Grant Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 << Buy it over there and bring it back with you.You get a LOT for your money over there! >> I was thinking about it, but wasnt sure how much shipping/extra charges I would run into would amount to... Suppose that I could ask the garage when I've come back from the Test Drive though. lol Cheers, Grant

Best regards Rob.

oobster Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 On my first Subaru, had it since start of March 05. No plans to change in the near future. Unless the Euromillions draw is lucky for me tonight!
Scooby Dooby Blue Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Blue MY98 Turbo 2000 Blue MY01 UK300 Blue MY01 WRX Silver MY93 Jap WRX Green MY98 UK 2000 Blue MY01 WRX Came to hate them all within about 2months of ownership, with the exception of the UK300 which was written-off 5weeks out of the showroom Petrol/insurance/maintenance/mods/events make Scoobs such expensive cars to run and own that once the smile-inducing turbo period wears off and the rattles rear their heads they are (IMO) without doubt the most contentious cars i've owned. Bring on the M5
gus the bus Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Scoobs as follows Blue 98my Impreza Sport White 98my Forester Turbo with PPP Silver 00my Forester AWP (now owned by my old man!) Red 01my Legacy 2.5. Blue 05my Impreza WRX300 Gus
lock stock Posted January 28, 2006 Author Posted January 28, 2006 Good to hear everyone's history so far, I think one of the guys hit the nail on the head They do get under your skin,In my case you are never quite happy with the one you have ,you always want the next one up. I mostly change my car around the 2 year mark and on my counting that is only a few months away. I test drove the Kitted up red WRX ppp at Town & County about 3 months ago, loved it but it was way too expensive for the age of it,then I started to look at the new model and really like the look of that also, does anyone on the forum have one?
lock stock Posted January 28, 2006 Author Posted January 28, 2006 Oobster's red wrx really looks good,I had never thought too much of a red scoob but now I can really see the attraction.
