WhiteMY06 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Needing some feed back on the prodrive performance pack getting mixed opinions. Some are saying u get between 30-40 bhp others are sayin 12-15 bhp.Just want to know where to spend my money baring in mind need to keep my waranty valid.
Gumball Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 im not by any means andy f's advisor however.. PPP on an sti, they are aiming for 305ps or around 300bhp They stick on a prodrive system with a rather tidy sports cat, an uprated fuel pump and an intercooler hose. and a tweak of the ECU charge you £1995 or whatever. What they dont to when they are finished is check the ECU to make sure you have the figures/result you are supposed to get. hence sometimes.........one PPP might be 315bhp................one might be 301bhp............andother might be 292bhp So, for the not to serious modder, with concerns over warranty etc it is a good bit of kit in most cases HOWEVER The price tag of almost 2k for an increase of perhaps 30-40bhp and more torque doesnt in the humble opinion of many on here match up/equate to the results you will get if you mod it yourself. A decat system Walbro 255ltphr fuel pump Samco hose set for I/C ECUTEK Remap £1200 give or take you just made yourself almost £800 for more mods and got a power figure on an STI of maybe 320bhp? as i said, im not andy f's advisor, im just gumball EDITED TO SAY** YOU HAVE AN MY06 SO MY ESTIMATE OF 320BHP MAY BE SHORT
derek_robertson Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 PPP is the safe bet when you've got a warranty to consider. Personally I'd sort out the handling & brakes first before going for power increases,no point in all that power iff the scoob can't stop or corner. Good luck whatever you do, Del
higgy Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Is there a PPP avalable for the 06 WRX yet not sure on that one... Higgy

RS Grant Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I would seriously suggest that you phone Russ at Eden and tell him you are after a wee bit more power, then ask what he suggests..... He's extremely helpful and will tell you what options you have with your car and your money. Cheers, Grant
ANDYJDMSTI Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 << Is there a PPP avalable for the 06 WRX yet not sure on that one... Higgy >> good point, well presented................did'nt see the 06 bit
