B14RY W Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Hi im fairly new on here and was wondering if any one knows where I might get a reasonably priced windscreen for my 97 Impreza Turbo. I have not priced one yet, but can only imagine how exspensive they are after having to replace my rear one last year, and money is a bit of an issue at the moment. I drive a siver classic with Carbon Bonnet, Rear Wing, Fog Light Covers, Head Lights, Wing Mirrors and Door Handles. P1 Front End and Aero Speed Rs Gt 18's (standard subaru wheels painted black at the moment) So give me a wave next time you pass, as the Subaru wave seems to be becoming a thing of the past. Any help with the windscreen is much appreciated.
2559B Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 hi M8 , Have you tried E-bay ??? There are also 2 large Subaru breakers that should be able to sort you out , Grade A & Glenburgie. Have seen your car driving around Broxburn & Livingston on numberous occasions. Good Luck ( & welcome to the SIDC ) Ally.
2559B Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Here is some clicky links to the breakers websites. GRADE A GLENBURGIE
FastScooby Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 National Windscreens Anson Street Bridgeton Glasgow G40 1ER 0800 622122 I went to these people to get my windscreen moved ...cant remember how much though.. but they did have it in stock with the blue tint There was a chance the the windy would of broke so it was there as a back up. No harm in giving them a bell Welcome to the forums
B14RY W Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 Will give all these options a try. No luck with Ebay, as that was my first thought also.
Gumball Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 i would have thought looking in the yellow pages or calling your insurance coy would be the way to go. find out what company your insurance want you to use then get one ordered and pay £50 glass excess. thats the way i have always done it when they get flexed out/stone chipped etc. surely this is the best and cheapest way to roll with this as there is no NCB lost for glass
dave_morgan Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I've got one lying around somewhere. I bought it to replace a screen that had a slight chip, but I sold the car before fitting it. £50 and it's yours. I'm in Edinburgh. Dave
frank c Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I might need a screen too.. Kart-man , give me a shout if no-one else takes it.. Frank Musselburgh
