des_curran Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I'm looking for info on how i go about activating the tracker fitted to my new car, i take it its just a matter of calling them and giving the reg number ect, or do i have to go to an approved dealer ?

st3ph3n Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Don't phone Tracker then Des! Phone RAC Trackstar. 2 different products.
des_curran Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 I've found there web page and theres a few dealers in glasgow, it seems i cant renew it online as you can only buy the full package (supply, fit, ect) i will give them a call tomorrow or drop in to one of the dealers and see what they say

pink pepper Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 << Cheers guys Its the standard fit rac trackstar 2, i just wasnt sure if they had to activate anything on the car or if it was all done from there end >> hi there, i'm pretty sure that RAC trackstar can re activate the tracker that is already on the car, all you need to do is contact them - just make sure that you get the "correct" tracker certificate through (took us 2 months and a lot of phone calls to eventually get our certificate thru, Tesco car insurance won't cover you for theft until they have received this cert)
p.one Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I found it could be all done in a phone call to RAC trackstar, however you may find it is cheaper to insure your car without a tracker than it is to pay for the insurance and the tracker premium of £120.
