G.T. Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 just been to kwikfit to get a puncture sorted and got a quote for 2 pirrelipzero rosso 225x40x18 for 260 quid fitted i thought this was ok, even according to black circles its competitive does anyone know of anywhere else that would beat that price in the glasgow or ayrshire area
wilky Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Scott tyres in Broxburn is well worth the trip even though its out of area. They squared fast scooby away with yokohama parada 2 tyres , 276 for all four. Thats great. Callum W

chris_c201 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Was it £276 fitted? Don't wanna start another one of the "which tyre is better" discussions but.... Which tyre is better (lol) Parada 2 vs t1-s? Cheers Chris.
chris_c201 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 GT, is that the p zero's you mean for the £260 supplied and fitted, got confused between them and the Parada's which have also been mentioned.....
vicki Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Gareth, if you go to Kwik Fit Mount Vernon (0141 778 1777) and ask for Peter or Paul, you will get the exact 2 tyres, valve and balance for £200. Just say Vicki sent you. I know them both and they said its fine. Its up to you tho
G.T. Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 cheers vickie thats a full 60 quid cheaper than kwikfit in largs only have to find my way to kwik fit in mount vernon now this being a country bumpkin is no use
FastScooby Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I got the parada's from scot tyre as wilky said £276 all in but had to pay £34 to get them balanced at the local kwik fit .. just because he was down on his daily target.. plus he's a greedy C**t at the best of times
FastScooby Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 so far so good with the parada's.. gets a bit hairy on greasy roads but thats the norm In the wet they are very good... (used CHAMPIRO GT50 which is really bad in the wet)..but good in the dry. I will be getting another set when they are done..

dave_morgan Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Some pretty good deals on ebay as well sometimes. Often "Buy it now" type listings, with brand new tyres. Worth a look anyway. Dave
