dave_morgan Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 I'm wanting to exchange the inners of my P1 door mirror for an STI one (with folding in mech), but can't get in to the screws because the mirror glass is in the way. Any ideas how to get the mirror glass out? Is it just a 'pull hard' job, or is there a technique. I don't want to yank too hard in case I break something!! Is it self adhesive? Hair dryer perhaps ?!? Anyone?? Dave
IanJ Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 I thought you found parking up on a busy road in Edniburgh an ideal way of dismantling your mirrors
weeb Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 just throw it hard too the ground, that should get the mirror out and let you into the screws! lol sorry, never took one apart yet!! am sure somebody will know, have you tried posting in the general section?
IanJ Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Dunno if you've seen this how to From the look of the pictures it looks like you just have to pull hard. They look like the type that have 3 feet that pop into mountings inside the housing. Have fun, Ian
