leadfootmiche Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 hi all im new to the forum.i dont actually own a subaru car......but i do have a couple of projects powered by subaru engines! im actually into my *olks*agens.....sorry if you find that upsetting. anyway one has svx power the other is legacy 2.2 . now what im specifically after is help with the ecu of the ej22,i erm steam washed the van with it in and well it made it 50 yards down the road before dieing i will be relocating the ecu............. is it at all possible to get these ecu's rebuilt/repaired or even remapped? this is the funbus with nitrous so upgrade over just standard is preferable! its from memory an h or k plate car.. any help ? muchos gracias! mike.
leadfootmiche Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 its obviously uses the obd1 system same as the svx too... mike.
Montythegod Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Could be the air flow sensor, I have problems with mine, engine turning over and not starting, replaced it and reset the ecu and all ok Took apart the old air flow sensor and all the electonics were flooded Depands on the model as to what airflow sensor you need hope this helps
leadfootmiche Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 cheers for the reply monty. ive managed to get a replacement ecu,so fingers crossed it'll run ! i didnt steam wash the engine tho....just the outside of the van, they have vents in the rear quarters.the ecu was mounted below this anyone know wether obd1 ecu's can be remapped for a bit more grunt or to increase revs? cheers mike.
