dave_morgan Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Just about to order a conservatory, but am in 2 minds about this Pilkington Activ self cleaning glass stuff. Does anyone have it, and does it really work? I've heard some people say it goes streaky while others rave about it, but that's the sales people who don't necessarily tell the whole truth at all times !!!! Any opinions or experiences ? A socttish perspective may be useful as we have 'unique' weather up here really don't we !!??!! Dave
wrxmania Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Followed quickly by the self fuelling car, the self fillinf wallet and self fulfilling propecy. A window cleaner may be the best option. For the difference in ost, how long would it pay the window cleaner to clean the conservatory glass? Brian
st3ph3n Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Just give it a coat of rainx. Should do the trick.
SEEVERS Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Dave,i used to build conservatories for a few years....BELEIVE ME when i say "this glass is a complete sham,do NOT buy". Heard of loads of customer complaints about it as my mate still does this for a living. Hope this helps. Del.
dave_morgan Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 Are the complaints that it doesn't clean itself, or worse !?! It's not costing much extra so I'm still tempted but if there's something more sinister wrong with it, I'll avoid. Dave
