frank c Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 215/40/17 , 205/45/17 or 215/45/17.....which is the best size of tyre for my 17" wheels (classic and standard shocks) What is your opinion and why.. I tried to put up a poll........
WRC No 1 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 i have 215/45/17 with t1's cant fault them. wullie
p1ggm Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 will they not rub?? i gave a mate 225s 2nd hand and they rubbed pretty bad
fai17 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 215/40/17 for me as its the one nearest the standard rolling radius of your original wheels and tyres. You want that beacause if you put bigger tyres on you will lose some of the performance of your car....i.e Boost coming in later. It will be the cheaper option aswell as you could get 205/45/17 which are the same/similar rolling radius as 215/45/17 and are very expensive. You could put on 215/45/17 but they more suited to newage and your turbo will be slower coming on boost for defo.. These are my personally thoughts and they are fact also. And if you put on the bigger size i'm not that bothered as it's your car and not mines..
frank c Posted December 26, 2005 Author Posted December 26, 2005 215/40/17 seems to be the most popular choice.. Just wondered why RB5 had 205/45's and if it was a better choice........
