Blitz Nur Spec R MOT Question

Hi guys,

put the car in for an MOT and it failed on emissions, told the guy to replace the centre section that I have with it and he is asking me for the original backbox as well. Is he right?

Surely I don't need that to pass the emissions test, really don;t want to have to fork out a couple of hundred quid on that.

No you dont

The centre section should have the cat in it.

Back box has nothing to do with MOT's unless holed etc

The Nur Spec R is a 3 inch system, and also replaced the centre cat, so your standard centre wont fit onto the backbox.

So he is right.

As said the Blitz Nur spec R ir 3" bore while standard system is 2.5", you will need both center & back box to swap over.

Does it still have the front cat downpipe in place?? Surely it would pass with that & maybe be less hassle to switch??
