The early header tanks were made from bakelite type material.

This weakens through time and can either leak slowly or explode at the fientest touch.

It mainly applies to Model year 92 - 96 but 97 - 98 and 99 - 2001 have also been known to be weak but not as weak as the 92 - 96 cars

Its a Subaru, you should always worry.

yip agree with the header tank info tried to fit a few samcos in the car park at work hand found that someone had swapped my header tank for a blutak effigy!!

lots of water and a few choice words.

new tank 70 sheets and then guess what the next day someone on here decides to sell a nice alloy one for about fifty bucks, bl00dy typical!
