col666 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Excuse my ignorance! but whats the story with the header tank? is the standard tank not upto big power? Col.
the squiggle Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 << Excuse my ignorance! but whats the story with the header tank? is the standard tank not upto big power? Col. >> The early header tanks were made from bakelite type material. This weakens through time and can either leak slowly or explode at the fientest touch. Hope this alleviates your ignorance................. Grant
oobster Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I wish i even knew what a header tank is Well done anyway brendan
col666 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Cheers, what year models does this apply to? should i be worried!? Col.
the squiggle Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 It mainly applies to Model year 92 - 96 but 97 - 98 and 99 - 2001 have also been known to be weak but not as weak as the 92 - 96 cars Its a Subaru, you should always worry. Grant
