Good video Dougster. Did our paths cross earlier? I can't remember.

The hairpin is the trickiest corner on the track in my opinion. It makes or brakes a lap.

Having said that a few times I lined it up on the kerb and just floored it too hear the thing screaming for grip.

Some nice pics Dougs.

I've got some video footage i need to get sorted, unfortunately not as much as i'd have liked due to technical difficulties (Numpty pushing the buttons!)

Anyone feel free to "Save picture as.."

I re-sized them all and didn't bother keeping the original hi-res images.

It was the first time I had a chance to use my Fuji S7000 at a track day and the light was changing minute by minute.

I saw a picture of Tut's car there face-icon-small-smile.gif

Was anyone speaking with him, if so how is he ?

BTW some great pictures, i haven't been to a track day for ages, the sprints and hillclimbs have been taking up so much weekend time, seeing the pictures has made me want to do some again though.

CT,

Tut is getting better slowly after his corrective spinal operation a few months ago face-icon-small-happy.gif He's still not 100%, but able to drive well enough now to take on track days and road driving. His strength and level of feeling will hopefully improve over the next 6 - 12 months.

We've got a provisional slot booked for the 22nd October (pretty much a full day), and it would be great to see you out on track again.

Good to hear Tut is improving, if you read this Tut you are missed at the sprints, Ali is getting things far too easy face-icon-small-wink.gif

As for the trackday in October.

My car is at RSC Motorsport getting a little work done, it was running rough as a badgers a**e at Golspie, and while they have it they are fitting a Gripper diff, it was one of the things I was going to get done over the winter but as it was there anyway I thought I would just get it done now, so assuming it goes OK at Alford on Sunday a trip to KH later in the month sounds good, get this seasons tyres completely worn out so I get some new ones from Santa face-icon-small-smile.gif

PMSL, ROTFLMAO face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif

And that was the cool down lap at the end of the day!!!face-icon-small-happy.gif

Mr Scooby had been twitching and sideyways out of the hairpin all morning, but i'd controlled him. So on the cool down lap at the end of the day, since we were all crawling round anyway and heading in, i said "Right, let see just how sideways this car'll go" - and that was the result! We went totally sideways one way, thought i had it back, when he went sideways the other way, and with no grip we just went wwweeeeeeee round! Was PMSL tho. Even more when i saw someone running down the bank with a camera taking pics face-icon-small-wink.gif Said to Weeb, wait and see how many pics of this get posted on SIDC?!
