Alloy Wheel Repairs

Need some info and also posting as a warning to other.

On Sat the week before last I curbed one of my front alloys (17" standard gold wrx300 alloy)

So I after enquires I took it to Wheelservices in Plains asked the usual question namely could they match the finish.

They said they could, so we settled on a price of £59.50 for strip,weld,colour match and rebalance the wheel

I dropped it off at 8:30 on Thur a week ago, Was ment to be ready 2-3 days. on Sat told would be ready on Monday

On Monday got told someone touched the finish and it would need redone would be ready 5:30 on Tues, I get there on

Tues only to find out they had used a high gloss laquer and it did not look right with taped edges showing. so I complained

after all 60 quid is 60 quid, they said they would redo it, so on Thur (today) got a phone call asking for more money to dull the finish

explained they had all ready been paid to do the job, their attitude was me not willing to pay more they would not fix the wheel.

So I collected the wheel, reaffirmed I was not happy and would get another company to sort it and send them the bill, I accidently forgot to tell them I was recording the conversion, I also took a witness with me and we were both asked to leave the premises.

So warning is "Do you trust this company with wheels only 1 month old" my answer is now no.

And my question is " who would you trust ".
