Drove an Impreza WRX today.

Town & County Aberdeen gave me a rather nice 54 plate WRX as a courtesy car today whilst my Leon was being serviced.face-icon-small-happy.gif

Well Impressed with both power and handling, I treated today like one big test drive, round the backroads to Westhill and then down the dualer to Stonehaven.

Now all I gotta do is convince the missus to let me get a UK300 and Im sorted.

So anyone wanna buy a SEAT Leonface-icon-small-wink.gif

I enjoyed myself so much, didnt wanna hand back the keys to Scott when I collected the Leon.

Ach, Leon is a good car - its the 1.8 Turbo I got so it shifts when it wants to, but handles nowhere near as good as the Scoob.

Leon felt like it was sitting still on the drive home compared to the Scoob.

Only complaint on the scoob was the interior was rather bland, dull grey plastic everywhere - not nice. face-icon-small-disgusted.gif surely there must be some nice bling parts to liven it up.

How did u manage to look at the interior, youve got to spend your time watching the speedo cause there r that many gatsos.

Do what i did,go out buy a scooby, sign the paperwork, so no going back and then tell the wife. run like hell n hide for a few days

then who cares it will b your new friend soon face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif

Well I did threaten her by saying that I wouldnt marry her in October unless she agreed to buying me one.

Annoying cos Ive been looking thru the web all night for a UK300, found a nice one - she takes an interest until the price comes up and then I get an ear bashing,

Maybe I should just wait til she goes on her hen night down south, and trade the Leon in - a nice wee wedding present to myself.

Nowt wrong with Seat's mate. Used to work for a chain of dealerships and used to get a new car every few weeks to stick some miles on so they could sell it as an ex-dem. They gave me a Cordoba 1.9TDi - flew like sh** off the proverbial. Only time in my life I've ever been pulled by a cop was in that and that's just cause he was solo and on an ego trip. Gotta love Scots Law - couldn't do me on his ownsome face-icon-small-smile.gif

Your not wrong but ive had 36 cars since 1995 and the scoob is the most fun. lancer evos r fast but sore arse after 20 mins.

Ive wanted a scood 4 years but the wife says no. I eventually said stuff it its not new but itl last a couple of years until the new shape due out soon price comes down.

Hence why the foot goes down a couple of extra notches as you hit gretna on the way north.

Ovv, you'll get a nice Euro Import for Leon money. You'd need to sell the Leon privately though as these places tend to offer poor trade-ins. I got my car from Motorpoint in Glasgow and had no troubles.

Although you will get free servicing and PPP on a new UK car right now if you shop at the right dealer.

Well Im currently a student at the mo, so cash is rather tight.

Its easy enought to top up my loan with AA and take an extra year to pay it, however Ive just taken a student loan and put it straight into a saving account so maybe next year, unless I get my own way in the next few weeks.

Anybody wanna buy a SEAT Leon ??face-icon-small-wink.gif

Cant afford a brand new one though - some good prices on the motorpoint website though - worth a looky.
