dougster Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Has anyone had a statement from them recently? If not you can check your balance at Shell Plus Points I just ordered £80 worth of vouchers and a nice red Ferrari cap. Probably spent about £50k on Optimax getting that though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
st3ph3n Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I managed 800 odd litres in the quarter from March to 31st of May, which got me 600 bonus points. I've got 4861 now, and obviously loads more bonus points due at the next quarter with the way I'm going through the stuff. It's quite entertaining looking at the list of recent transactions because I stopped using my card at the end of '03 when my local shell became a Safeway, then suddenly at the start of 05 it starts getting used once every 4 or 5 days, if not more often. Spot the scooby owner. Anybody ever bothered to actually work out the return they're getting? I think if you get 900 litres of fuel in a quarter you'll get enough points + bonus points to manage to get a £10 voucher (1500 points). A return of not much more than 1%. It's clearly worth it!
dougster Posted July 18, 2005 Author Posted July 18, 2005 Another frightening statistic is some people don't even bother or even KNOW about plus points At least I'll get a decent pair of trainers with my JJB vouchers now I'm on foot!!!!!!!!!!
st3ph3n Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Am I the only one that thinks geting vouchers to spend on Petrol is like admitting defeat?
Big Daz Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Currently sitting on just over 17000 points and was thinking about "cashing in" just dont know what to get yet Daz
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Be aware that some garage staff put your points through as plain unleaded ........I noticed this on my statement and was nae impressed. Got £70 worth of "free" fuel to date and a gash keyring
