Guest Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 HI I have recently bought an STI9 and wondered if it would be suitable to put a 2.5 crawford engine conversion into it? Should this ensure that changing my manifold and headers plus installing a bigger turbo and top mount intercooler spliced 3 ways will give me over 600bhp? I spoke to a gay the other day who suggetsed i cross thread the turbo housing to ensure that the 20G can capacitate the uprated wastegate? someone please help me................
dave_morgan Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Sounds like someones winding you up, or you're winding us up.... You'd be better selling the sti9 and buying this.... http://www.subaru.me.uk/gtr
ormiboy Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 i think grahame goode ( i think its them?) charge about 17K for 600bhp so start saving
dave_morgan Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Well there you go then... buy my Skyline and you'll be 5/6 of the way there, for less money, and you'll have a spare car for the weekends !!
drb5 Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 The Crawford engine, would probably do 600BHP, depending on it's spec. It's whether or not you need to have that amount of power. Needless to say, you'll probably end up spending way more than you first intend to and sod's law, something will go wrong.
