harry_hood Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Got some millers oil for my 1997 wagon, whats the best way of doing this? do i have to fill the filter first?or do i have to do anything else cheers
dave_morgan Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Warm the car up so the old oil is less viscous (to get more out), unscrew the sump plug and filter and let drain for as long as you can, then fill the new filter to the very top before fitting, refit plug with new washer, fill engine with oil and ideally turn it over without starting to circulate the oil before starting up (you'll need to unplug electrics for that bit). Job's a good un!
wilky Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 To turn the engine without starting, unplug the crank sensor, its the wee sensor on the plastic cover thats on the front of the block at the right hand side below your aircon pump, unclip, turn the engine a few times, replug, start car, jobs a good un!!
