Big Daz Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Saw the Grampian Police stickered up "road safety vehicle" Scoob this Morning, It sneaked up behind me as I was coming into Dundee, Very easy to confuse with any other stickered up WRC Blue one and have a play Daz
sgscoobysti Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 I think they have had it a few months now. It was in the Evening Express a wee while back. Shaun
Scoobylav Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 I am sorry but how can they call that a road casualty reduction unit when it is made to look like a stickered up scoob ??? God they make me so angry
ANDYJDMSTI Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 you should have left the number plate visible so we know that we have the correct car if we see it!!!!!
Boyakasha Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 I see they have cunningly disguised it as a chav mobile so that it blends in when they are cruising, how to ruin a perfectly good car
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 I heard they had decatted it and put in a flamer kit. Apparently, they are considering a FMIC and 19's WTF ! Talk about blowing tax payers money - whats wrong with usinf a Volvo T50 or whatever they are called these days. Wonder if they run it on Optimax and Millers
fraser_drinkwater Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Thats a point they have removed the standard spoiler and put on the best one!!!! for £450 + painting thats what i call destroying our money. tw*ts
jasonb Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 well done daz, glad you posted that, might have had a play otherwise and when two scoobs play together it is usually at big speeds, could have been very bad, so well done mate
Iaing Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Completely forgot about this thread. Reg plate is P1 TNC
dave_morgan Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 So our tax money is going towards buying them private plates now too !!!!
billyboy Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 We should invite them to a meet or trackday for a laff.
Carl Davey Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 That's a Town & County plate. They've had it for a while now, would assume the car is on hire from them to Grampian Police.
johns Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I think you may find that the car has been supplied FOC to the police for a year or so. The police will just pick up the running costs for the car (ie fuel/servicing). Subaru have supplied the police forces around the UK with demo cars for the past few years. Quite a few forces now have them as high speed pursuit cars. John
Carl Davey Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Ach, not far off considering i guessed it all from the number plate... IIRC that's the same one that very nearly went walkabout on a local P1?
