Can't decide if I want to keep my 98 v4 Type-R or change to a different car...

Main reasons behind changing is I get bored of my current car after a year or so, plus I fancy something not so common on the roads. Thinking of swapping in for a Supra which will also be a grand less a year to insure, which is nice face-icon-small-happy.gif

The choice is contiune modding the Scooby, got the funds to take the car up to the following spec:

HKS Hyperflow exhuast (fitted)

H&S Downpipe (fitted)

HKS pannel filter (fitted)

GT Spec Headers (purchased)

Hybrid FMIC (to be bought)

Apexi PFC mapped by Andy F (to be bought)

Apexi AVCR (to be bought)

Uprated fuel pump (to be bought)

GT Spec lower brace (purchased)

Cusco rear brace (purchased)

GT Spec Anti-Lift kit (purchased)

GT Spec Alloy drop links (purchased)

brakes also might be a good idea face-icon-small-wink.gif

might have missed a few bits out but you get the jist of what I'll be taking engine up to

Now I'm thinking this spec once fitted will probably max out the injectors and turbo, meaning another expensive buy of new turbo and injectors. This in turn will mean the gearbox will now be the weakest link and would have to be uprated. And if I did go ahead and fit all this would I now be in danger of blowing the engine.... Expensive money pit I'm thinking face-icon-small-sad.gif

Now to my other idea, change in for a Supra face-icon-small-tongue.gif Always liked the Supra, bullet proof engine, lots of tunning potential plus I really like the look of them, more 'exclusive' on the road.

So what do you guys think, I'm I looking at expensive maintainence/repair bills if I build the Scooby to this spec.

Try not to be too biased and shoot the Supra idea down face-icon-small-happy.gif

Been doing a bit of work with a work colleague on modding his supra - compared even to my GTST skyline its nuts

Turbos can take big boost, bottom end is solid, 1.2 bar is easy with a FCD uprated fuel pump and boost controller and it runs low boost stock. Apparently it can take 1.4 bar once its well set up with Fcon pro or AEM etc.

Slap a big turbo on a OMG !!!

Have you seen the one in sterte garage down south 500 bhp for not alot of cash with a big single V tasty

Im getting shot of skyline soon but have to say it sounds the mutts nuts if you think about that route and a GTR can take 400 bhp for not alot of outlay the R32 is lighter than most think as well
